Hi everyone,

my name is Tanja and I’m going to work with Portland Bicycle Tours for the next six months. I have been studying American Studies and Political/Social Studies for three years in Stuttgart, Germany. At Portland Bicycle Tours I’m especially going to work in marketing and sales, but I’m also very excited to join the countless bike events that Portland’s bike community offers! I traveled several times to the USA and visited Portland twice last year. The experiences I’ve had and impressions I’ve got from this city during my visits, have led to the decision of participating in an internship in Portland after finishing University. It is not a typical American city, the boost of a community that is looking forward to a bike friendly and green future is felt almost everywhere. During my first few days in town, I already enjoyed the privilege of being a part of the opening of the new bike ped infrastructure on the Morrison Bridge. I’m very excited to be here in Portland. It’s awesome to be a member of this vibrant and ever growing bike community!
